Law, Hill Street Blues, NYPD Blue; Eric Bogosian, who wrote Talk Radio; Diane English, writer and producer of Murphy Brown, and Norman Lear, executive producer of All in The Family. They said consolidation of cable and TV industries had resulted in lack of diversity that had caused creativity to suffer. They said Commission should retain 30% cable ownership cap and EchoStar and DirecTV should operate separately.
