Customer Service Dir. Thom Terrazas plans to discuss benefits of incorporating online chat in customer service offerings. Cybercast is to be first in series highlighting partnership of InstantService and WebEx, they said. SOE uses InstantService chat to provide customer support to its popular EverQuest online game, which it said had more than 430,000 active subscribers. During peak periods, close to 100,000 gamers have explored world of game simultaneously, SOE said. Terrazas said: “InstantService online chat has revolutionized SOE’s ability to provide online customer service. Our EverQuest gamers love chat.” InstantService CEO Mike Lande said company was “eager to share our success with the rest of the gaming industry and to educate them as to the benefits of chat.”
