AD: Mexico & Turkey Light-Walled Rectangular Pipe and Tube

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has made preliminary affirmative antidumping (AD) duty determinations that light-walled rectangular pipe and tube (LWRPT) from Mexico and Turkey is being, or is likely to be, sold at less than fair value in the U.S.

Preliminary Affirmative Antidumping Duty Determinations

As a result, the ITA states that it is directing U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to suspend liquidation of all entries of subject merchandise from Mexico and Turkey with a time of entry on or after April 13, 2004.

The ITA states that at the same time, it will instruct CBP to require a cash deposit or the posting of a bond at the AD rates listed below:

ITA Postpones Final Determination for Mexico and Turkey

In these notices, the ITA also states that at the request of parties accounting for a significant proportion of exports of the subject merchandise, it is postponing its final AD determinations until not later than 135 days after April 13, 2004, and that the provisional measures in place (the suspension of liquidation and the AD cash deposit/bond requirements) are extended accordingly.
