FirstGov.gov is a free-access Web site designed to give users a centralized place to find information from U.S. local, state, and federal government agency Web sites.
This Web portal features a search engine, as well as an index of web-accessible government information and services. FirstGov.gov allows users to search for agencies via an A-Z agency index, and also divides government agencies into the following categories:
Federal Executive, Legislative, and Judicial
Cross-agency portals,
State Government,
Local Government, and
Tribal Government.
FirstGov.gov Contains Government Forms, Laws, & Regulations
FirstGov.gov allows users to find laws and regulations, including those contained in the CFR, public laws, treaties, and the U.S. code. In addition, government forms are available on this Web portal. Forms are sorted by Agency and there are also links to the "Top 100 Forms" and State resources.
FirstGov.gov Provides Means to Obtain an Export License, Info on Int'l Trade, Etc.
FirstGov.gov users may, among other things, buy government publications, get an export license online, file taxes and wage reports, and contract with the government. This Web portal also contains information on topics such as exporting, international trade, and foreign businesses in the U.S.
FirstGov.gov is available in English and Spanish and also contains certain documents and information in other languages.
