Subsequently, on March 10, 2004, the CDC removed Hong Kong from the list of countries subject to this order.

CDC and APHIS Impose Ban on Malaysia After Discovery of H5N1 in Poultry
The CDC states that, along with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), it is imposing this ban on birds and bird products from Malaysia because of documented cases of H5N1 in poultry in the Kelantan State of Malaysia.
According to the CDC, the government of Malaysia has instituted a number of control measures, including depopulation of poultry and birds within a one-kilometer radius of the infected flock; quarantine and clinical surveillance within a 10-kilometer radius of the infected flock; and restrictions on the movement of birds and their products to other States within Malaysia.
