The International Trade Administration (ITA) has made a final affirmative determination that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers/exporters of carbazole violet pigment 23 (CVP-23) from India.

(It should be noted that based on the preliminary affirmative countervailing (CV) duty determination, liquidation was suspended and a CV cash deposit/bond required for all entries of subject merchandise from India with a time of entry on or after April 27, 2004. However, this CV suspension of liquidation and the cash deposit/bond requirement were subsequently discontinued effective for entries will a time of entry on or after August 26, 2004.
As a result, CV suspension of liquidation and the cash deposit/bond liability currently remains in effect only for entries with a time of entry from April 27, 2004 through August 25, 2004.
Also note that the AD suspension of liquidation and cash deposit/bond requirements for subject merchandise were unaffected by this CV action. See ITT's Online Archives or 09/14/04 news, 04091440 for BP summary.)

According to ITA sources, the ITA is no longer treating Alpanil and Meghmani Organics Ltd. as a single entity for purposes of this CV duty investigation. As a result, any entries from Meghmani would be subject to the 'All Others' rate.
