Miscellaneous International Trade Notices

The State Department has issued a public notice announcing various upcoming meetings of the International Telecommunication Advisory Committee (ITAC) to prepare for the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Advisory Group (TSAG) Meeting and ITU-T Study Groups 3, 4, and 17 meetings. According to the notice, ITAC will meet with an agenda for preparations for an upcoming ITU-T TSAG meeting on: January 19, February 2, February 16 (teleconference) and March 2, 2005.

1. State Department Announces Various Upcoming ITAC Meetings

In addition, ITAC will meet with an agenda for preparations for the ITU-T Study Group 3 (tariff and accounting principles) meeting on January 5 and January 11, 2005. 2. State Department Announces Shipping Coordinating Committee to Meet

The State Department has announced that the Shipping Coordinating Committee will conduct an open meeting on January 11, 2005 in order to prepare for the 49th Session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Subcommittee on Fire Protection, which is to be held from January 24 - 28, 2005. 3. ITC Submits Form on Logistic Services to OMB for Approval

The International Trade Commission (ITC) has issued a notice announcing that it has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for approval a form for use in connection with investigation No. 332-463, Logistic Services: An Overview of the Global Market and Potential Effects of Removing Trade Impediments. 4. Homeland Security Advisory Council Met in San Diego, CA

The Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) held a partially open meeting in San Diego, CA for purposes of receiving reports from Senior Advisory Committees, receiving briefings from Department of Homeland Security (DHS) staff on Departmental initiatives, and holding roundtable deliberations and discussions among HSAC members. 7. Meeting of the President's Export Council via Teleconference

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued a notice announcing that the President's Export Council (PEC) was scheduled to hold an open meeting on December 2, 2004 via teleconference to discuss a draft recommendation to the President regarding export control legislation. 8. ITA Issues Export Trade Certificate of Review

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued an Export Trade Certificate of Review to the Rocky Mountain Instrument Company (RMI), which produces and then exports laser and imaging optical components, etc. In granting other Export Trade Certificates of Review, the ITA has previously stated that such Certificates protect the recipients from certain antitrust lawsuits and private actions.
