AD: Belarus, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan Solid Urea

Effective November 17, 2004, the International Trade Administration (ITA) is revoking the antidumping (AD) duty orders on solid urea from Belarus, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan as the domestic interested parties have waived their right to participate in these sunset reviews and the ITA finds that no domestic interested party is participating in these sunset reviews.

Antidumping Duty Orders Revoked

The ITA states that it will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to terminate the suspension of liquidation and AD duty deposit requirements for subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after November 17, 2004. The ITA explains that entries of subject merchandise prior to November 17, 2004 will continue to be subject to the suspension of liquidation and AD duty deposit requirements.

The ITA states that it will complete any pending administrative reviews of these orders and will conduct administrative reviews of subject merchandise entered prior to November 17, 2004 in response to appropriately filed requests for review.

ITA sources state that they have in the past incorrectly cited this case as A-485-801.

(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope, etc. See ITT's Online Archives or 10/04/04 news, 04100450, for BP summary of the ITA and ITC initiation of these five-year sunset reviews for Belarus, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as for Russia and Ukraine.

ITA sources state that there has been domestic interest regarding Russia and Ukraine; therefore, the AD duty orders on solid urea from Russia and Ukraine have not been revoked and their five-year sunset reviews are on-going.)
