The Trans Atlantic Conference Agreement (TACA) has issued a press release advising that the suspension of the Congestion Surcharge at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach will continue through June 30, 2005. Prior to June 30, 2005, and depending upon prevailing circumstances, an announcement will be made confirming either a further period of suspension, or the re-application of the Congestion Surcharge ($200 per 20 ft. container and $400 per 40/45 ft. container, against an effective date of July 1, 2005). 2. CBP Announces Recordation of "JOY ENTERPRISES" and "Precision Instrument Manifolds" Trade Names
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued two separate notices announcing that (1) effective November 12, 2004, "JOY ENTERPRISES" has been recorded with CBP as a trade name by Shell Stores Corporation dba Joy Enterprises, a Florida corporation, and (2) effective May 23, 2005, "Precision Instrument Manifolds" has been recorded with CBP as the trade name used by Dynamic Controls & Sensors, Inc., a Texas corporation. 5. FSIS Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection to Meet
The National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection of the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), will hold a public meeting on June 16-17, 2005, to review and discuss technology and inspection issues regarding small and very small plants, risk based sampling of these plants and the appropriate guidance for testing. 6. Ex-Im Sub-Saharan African Committee to Meet
