Final Results of AD Duty Changed Circumstances Review

The ITA states that in these final results, it continues to find that Winton Global Lumber Ltd. (Winton Global) is the successor-in-interest to The Pas Lumber Company Ltd. (The Pas) for AD duty cash deposit purposes.

As a result, CBP states that Winton Global should be accorded the same treatment previously accorded to The Pas in regard to the AD duty order on certain softwood lumber products from Canada, effective June 21, 2005. The ITA states that The Pas' AD cash deposit rate is 1.83%.

According to the ITA, it will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) suspend liquidation of all shipments of subject merchandise produced and exported by Winton Global with a time of entry on or after June 21, 2005 at a 1.83% AD cash deposit rate. The ITA further explains that this AD duty cash deposit rate will remain in effect until publication of the final results of the ongoing administrative review, in which Winton Global/The Pas is participating. (See ITT's Online Archives or 06/08/05 news, 05060825, for BP summary of the preliminary results of this ongoing AD duty administrative review, as well as the countervailing (CV) duty administrative review of certain softwood lumber products from Canada.)
