Initiation of AD Duty Changed Circumstances Review

Weyerhaeuser Requests Amended AD Cash Deposit Rate

According to the ITA, Weyerhaeuser notified the ITA on December 5, 2005, that it sold its entire former B.C. Coastal (BCC) business unit on May 30, 2005.

As a result of the sale of BBC, Weyerhaeuser contends that it underwent fundamental structural changes and its AD cash deposit rate should be modified to reflect the company's new structure.

The ITA states that this changed circumstances review will determine whether Weyerhaeuser should be assigned a different AD cash deposit rate than the 4.43% rate it was most recently assigned.

(See ITA notice for more details, including the scope of the order, etc. See ITT's Online Archives or 12/13/05 news, 05121330, for BP summary of the final results of AD/Countervailing (CV) duty administrative reviews for subject merchandise from Canada.)
