CV: India Certain Lined Paper Products

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has made a preliminary affirmative determination that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of certain lined paper products from India.

Preliminary Affirmative CV Duty Determination

As a result, the ITA states that it is directing U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to suspend liquidation of all entries of subject merchandise from India with a time of entry on or after February 15, 2006.

The ITA states that it is also instructing CBP to require a cash deposit or a bond at the countervailing (CV) rates (equal to the preliminary countervailable subsidy rates) listed below, for entries of subject merchandise from India with a time of entry on or after February 15, 2006:

ITC to Make Final Injury Determination Within 45 Days of Final ITA Determination

The ITA states that if its final CV duty determination is affirmative, the International Trade Commission (ITC) will make its final injury determination within 45 days after the ITA makes its final determination.
