AD/CV: Indonesia Certain Lined Paper Products
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued a notice postponing the final determination in the antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty investigations of certain lined paper products from Indonesia until no later than August 9, 2006 (from approximately June 10, 2006), at the request of PT. Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk. (TK), the only mandatory respondent in the AD duty investigation of exports of subject merchandise from Indonesia.

The ITA states that in accordance with 19 CFR 351.210(b)(2)(ii), because the preliminary AD determination was affirmative, the requesting exporter accounts for a significant proportion of exports of the subject merchandise in this investigation, and no compelling reasons for denial exist, the ITA is granting TK's request to postpone the final AD duty determination.
In addition, the ITA states that because the CV duty investigation has been aligned with the concurrent AD duty investigation, the time limit for completion of the final determination of the CV duty investigation will be the same date (August 9, 2006).
The ITA states that it is extending the provisional measures period from four months to a period not longer than six months (for preliminary AD bond/cash deposit requirements); suspension of liquidation will also be extended accordingly.

See ITT's Online Archives or 03/22/06 news, 06032235, for BP summary of the alignment of the final AD/CV duty determinations for subject merchandise from Indonesia and India.)
