2. APHIS Proposes Rule on Importation of Uncooked Pork and Pork Products

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has issued a proposed rule which would amend 9 CFR Part 94 to allow the importation of uncooked pork and pork products from regions where classical swine fever (CSF) is considered to exist if the pork and pork products originate in a region free of CSF and meet certain other conditions with respect to processing and shipping. APHIS will consider comments received on or before March 6, 2007. 3. USTR Determination Regarding Waiver of Discriminatory Purchasing Requirements for Romania and Bulgaria

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has issued a notice announcing that, effective January 1, 2007, it has made certain determinations regarding the waiver of discriminatory purchasing requirements for eligible products and suppliers of Romania and Bulgaria, due to their January 1, 2007 accession to the European Communities (EC), with respect to U.S. obligations under the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA). 4. State Dept Announces International Telecommunication Advisory Committee Meetings

The State Department has issued a notice announcing meetings of the International Telecommunication Advisory Committee (ITAC) to prepare advice on U.S. positions for the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU's) Telecommunication Standardization Sector Study Group 3 (tariff and accounting principles including related telecommunication economic and policy issues), and the Organization of American States Inter-American Telecommunications Commission's Permanent Consultative Committee I (Telecommunications), on various dates in February and March 2007. The notice also announces a standing electronic mail meeting preparing advice for ITU Radiocommunication Sector meetings, which will end in July 2007.
