ITA Finds Investigation Requires Additional Time to Evaluate Questionnaires, Etc.
The ITA explains that the petitioner, NewPage Corporation, requested postponement of the preliminary determinations because it needed additional time to evaluate the questionnaire responses filed by respondents, develop surrogate values (in the China investigation) and, if warranted, prepare an allegation of targeted dumping.
The ITA states that for the reasons identified by the petitioner and because there are no compelling reasons to deny the request, the ITA is postponing the deadline for the preliminary determinations by 50 days to May 29, 2007.
The ITA adds that the deadline for the final AD duty determinations will continue to be 75 days after the date of the preliminary determinations, unless extended.
