CV Suspension of Liquidation, CV Cash Deposit/Bond Requirements Will Not be Resumed Unless Orders Issued
CBP states that field officers are to discontinue the suspension of liquidation for CV duty purposes on all shipments of the subject merchandise from China or Indonesia with a time of entry on or after August 7, 2007, which is 120 days after the date of publication of the preliminary determinations. The CV cash deposit/bond requirements are similarly discontinued.
CBP states that for each case, this suspension of liquidation will not be resumed unless and until the ITA publishes a CV duty order. In addition, if an order is issued, any reinstated CV liability will be in the form of cash deposits only.
(ITA sources have previously stated that entries during the period from the date suspension is discontinued to the day before the effective date of any order will not be subject to any CV duties on subject merchandise.)
In addition, CBP states that field officers are to continue to suspend liquidation for CV duty purposes on all shipments of subject merchandise from China or Indonesia that have a time of entry during the period April 9, 2007 - August 6, 2007, until the conclusion of their CV duty investigations.
AD Suspension of Liquidation & AD Cash Deposit/Bond Requirements Unaffected
CBP's Web site posting states that the discontinuation of the CV suspension of liquidation and cash deposit/bond requirements in these investigations do not affect the antidumping suspension of liquidation and cash deposit/bond requirements in the preliminary affirmative determinations for the companion AD duty investigations on certain lined paper products from China or Indonesia.
