Suspensions of liquidation/cash deposit requirements still discontinued. The ITA previously instructed U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to discontinue the CV suspension of liquidation for merchandise with a time of entry on or after August 7, 2007, but to continue the CV suspensions of liquidation for entries made between April 9, 2007 and August 7, 2007. The CV cash deposit/bond requirements were similarly discontinued.
CBP previously stated that the CV suspensions of liquidation would not be resumed and CV cash deposits will not be required unless and until the ITA publishes CV duty orders. (See ITT's Online Archives or 08/20/07 news, 07082020, for BP summary of the ITA's discontinuation of the suspension of liquidation for CV duty purposes for coated free sheet paper from China or Indonesia.)
CV rates if orders issued. The ITA states that if the International Trade Commission issues final affirmative injury determinations, the ITA will issue CV duty orders, reinstate suspension of liquidation, and require a cash deposit of estimated CV duties for entries of subject merchandise at the CV duty rates listed below:
