AD: China and Taiwan Raw Flexible Magnets
The International Trade Administration has made preliminary affirmative antidumping duty determinations that raw flexible magnets from China and Taiwan are being, or are likely to be, sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.

Suspension of liquidation. For subject merchandise from China and Taiwan, the ITA will direct CBP to suspend liquidation of all entries with a time of entry on or after April 25, 2008.
AD cash deposit or bond. The ITA will also instruct CBP to require a cash deposit or the posting of a bond at the AD rates listed below, for entries of subject merchandise from China or Taiwan with a time of entry on or after April 25, 2008, as follows:

(For the China investigation, the ITA adds that for all non-China exporters of subject merchandise which have not received their own rate, the AD duty cash deposit rate will be the rate applicable to the China exporter/producer combination that supplied that non-China exporter.)
ITA Seeks Scope Comments on Certain Photo Pocket Magnets by May 11th
The ITA invites comments on the scope of these investigations, including whether certain magnetic photo pockets, which are flexible magnets with clear plastic material fused to the magnet to form a pocket, into which photographs and other items may be inserted for display, should be excluded from the scope of these AD investigations and the countervailing duty investigation for China. Comments are due 14 days after April 25, 2008, with rebuttal comments due within five days thereafter.
The ITA will make its final determinations in these investigations with 75 days after April 25, 2008, unless extended.
