CV: China Circular Welded Austenitic Stainless Pressure Pipe

The International Trade Administration has made a preliminary affirmative countervailing duty determination that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of circular welded austenitic stainless pressure pipe (CWASPP) from China.

Suspension of liquidation.The ITA is directing U.S. Customs and Border Protection to suspend liquidation of all entries of CWASPP from China with a time of entry on or after July 10, 2008.

CV cash deposit. The ITA will also instruct CBP to require a cash deposit or bond at the CV rates listed below for entries of subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after July 10, 2008 for the following exporters/manufacturers:

Final CV Duty Determination Aligned with Final AD Duty Determination

The ITA notes that it is aligning the final CV duty determination with the final determination in the companion antidumping investigation of CWASPP from China. The final CV duty determination will be issued on the same date as the final AD duty determination, which is currently scheduled to be issued no later than November 10, 2008.

ITA to Issue Decision on Scope in Companion AD Investigation

The ITA states that it is evaluating comments submitted on the scope of this investigation, and will issue its decision in the preliminary determination of the companion AD investigation due no later than August 27, 2008.
