CV Suspension of Liquidation Instructions

CV suspension of liquidation continues for entries of the sodium nitrite from China with a time of entry of April 11, 2008 through August 8, 2008 (the ITA instructed U.S. Customs and Border Protection to discontinue the CV suspension of liquidation beginning August 9, 2008).

The ITA will direct CBP to reinstitute the CV suspension of liquidation for entries of sodium nitrite from China with a time of entry on or after August 26, 2008 (the date of publication of the ITC's final injury determination).

Entries During "Gap Period" Are Not Liable for CV Duties

Entries of sodium nitrite from China with a time of entry of August 9, 2008 through August 25, 2008 are not liable for the assessment of CV duties.

CV Cash Deposit Instructions

The ITA will instruct CBP to require, at the same time as importers would normally deposit estimated duties, cash deposits equal to the following CV duty rates for entries of subject merchandise from China with a time of entry on or after August 26, 2008:
