CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that in an ongoing effort to improve the processing of Importer Security Filing (ISF) transactions, CBP has modified the CATAIR, CAMIR, and X-12 309 stand-alone transaction sets to more clearly explain in detail what the requirements are and how data is to be transmitted. 2. NAFTA Rules of Origin Changes
CBP has issued a CSMS message regarding Proclamation 8405 that amended the HTS for the NAFTA rules of origin, etc., effective for goods entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after October 2, 2009. 3. CBP, EU Develop Brochure, Web Toolkit for Copyright, Trademark Owners
CBP and customs officials from the European Union have jointly developed a brochure and Web toolkit to assist trademark and copyright owners in preparing information to help U.S. and EU customs agencies determine whether goods are counterfeit or pirated.
