DDTC Announces New MARY "Lite" System for D-Trade 2 Export License Status

The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls has issued a notice announcing that beginning November 17, 2009, it is offering a precursor to its upcoming MARY Status Retrieval System, known as MARY "lite", which will provide users access to their D-Trade2 export license status without having to log on to the D-Trade 2 interface.

MARY "Lite" is a Searchable PDF Quick Case Status Report

MARY "lite" is a searchable PDF quick case status report accessible from the D-Trade Information Center Web page at http://www.pmddtc.state.gov/DTrade. Users can also link directly to the file at http://www.pmddtc.state.gov/DTrade/ML_DT2Status.pdf.

DDTC notes that in order to access the MARY "lite" system, Adobe Reader or other PDF software is necessary. For personal digital assistant (PDA) users, Mobile Office 6.1 or other mobile PDF software is necessary. A formatted HTML version will also be available with the full version of MARY.

MARY "lite" Provides Only Current & Recently Finalized Cases

The MARY "lite" system provides only the overall status for cases currently in-process and for cases that have been finalized within the last 14 days. Quick case status reports will be refreshed once daily Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. EST.

DDTC notes that users will still be able to log on to the D-Trade2 system to view the most current and detailed case information.

The full version of MARY is scheduled for release in Winter 2009.
