Senate Finance Chair Comments on Commerce Secy Export Remarks
Senate Finance Chairman Baucus (D) issued a statement regarding remarks made by Commerce Secretary Locke reaffirming the Administration's commitment to double U.S. exports over the next five years. According to Senator Baucus, Secretary Locke pledged more funding, improved government-wide support to promote small business exports around the world, and strong enforcement of U.S. trade agreements as means to accomplish this goal.
House Trade Leaders Welcome Nat'l Export Initiative Announcement
House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Rangel (D) and Trade Subcommittee Chairman Levin (D) have issued statement welcoming the National Export Initiative and Comprehensive Strategy to Change U.S. Trade Policy which was discussed by Commerce Secretary Locke on February 4, 2010. Dietary supplements | S. 3002. A bill to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to more effectively regulate dietary supplements that may pose safety risks unknown to consumers |
Drawback on distilled spirits | H.R. 4610. A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to eliminate the drawback fee on the manufacture or production of certain distilled spirits used in nonbeverage products |
