ITC Lists HTS Statistical Changes That Took Effect on January 1st

International Trade Commission sources have provided a document listing the statistical changes to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule that took effect on January 1, 2010.

These changes have been approved by the Committee for Statistical Annotation of Tariff Schedules (the 484(f) Committee).

(According to ITC sources, the 484(f) Committee is responsible considering government and private sector requests for changes at the 9th and 10th digit level for tariff numbers, their unit of quantity, and/or written description.)

HTS Revisions

The following HTS changes took effect on January 1, 2010:

Certain electrodes of a kind used for furnaces
8545.11.0000Replaced by new 8545.11.0010, 8545.11.0020, and 8545.11.0050
