Senators Release Draft Energy/Climate Change Bill

On May 12, 2010, Senators Kerry and Lieberman released their draft comprehensive energy and climate change bill, The American Power Act, which includes import tax provisions. The House passed it own energy/climate change bill, the American Clean Energy and Security Act (H.R. 2454) on June 26, 2009, which also included an import tax provision. Kerry Expresses Concerns with CN Indigenous Innovation Policies

Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Kerry has sent a letter to Ambassador Zhang Yesui of the People’s Republic of China to share his concerns with China’s Draft Notice Launching the National Indigenous Innovation Product Accreditation Work for 2010.

Ways and Means Rep Issues Statement on 10th Anniversary of AGOA

On May 12, 2010, House Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Camp (R) issued a statement regarding the 10th anniversary of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA). In his statement, Camp expressed his commitment to working with Africa to make sure that the preferences are the most effective that they can be and pledged to work with the Administration and others to continue to support AGOA.
