BIS Commodity Classification Web Page Now Includes Info from 48 Companies
The Bureau of Industry and Security has updated its commodity classification Web page to include information received from an additional ten companies (for a total of 48) that have requested that the information available on their companies’ Web sites, and/or their companies’ export control points of contact, be accessible via the BIS Web site.

Postings Can Include Products, Services, Contacts
BIS’ Web page is intended to enhance procedural transparency in the licensing process and to help exporters comply with U.S. export and reexport control laws. BIS notes that any company information posted to this Web site is for informational purposes only and does not signify any additional obligations under the Export Administration Regulations.
The Web page often contains a description of products and services, the export control point of contact for each company, and in some cases, a Web site address.
