New DFAIT Permit Cancellation Form for Released Ag, Steel and Textile Items

Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade states that effective immediately, all requests for cancellation of permits for released Agriculture, Steel, Textiles and Clothing shipments are to be submitted by facsimile on the new Request for Cancellation form EXT 876.

  • For agriculture, completed cancellation request forms can be transmitted by facsimile to 613-996-0612 including a copy of the B3 document - Canada Customs Coding Form and (if applicable) the B2 document Canada Customs - Adjustment Request.
  • For steel, completed cancellation request forms can be transmitted by facsimile to 613-995-5137 including a copy of the B3 document - Canada Customs Coding Form and (if applicable) the B2 document Canada Customs - Adjustment Request.
  • For textiles and clothing, completed cancellation request forms can be transmitted by facsimile to 613-995-5137.

(The failure to provide the Cancellation form and the Customs documents will result in delaying the cancellation request. In addition, this form is to be used for released shipments only. Cancellation requests for non-released shipments are to be requested on-line using the Export and Import Controls System.)
