  • Entry Summary Query - this chapter provides input and output record layouts, data elements, and processing information for ABI filers to query entry summaries in ACE.

CBP states that the Entry Summary Query records have been changed and they are not compatible with the Entry Summary Query records currently used in ACE Production.

  • Entry Summary Status Notification - an entry summary status notification message will be provided to ACE ABI filers as additional information is required or as entry summary processing conditions warrant.

CBP states that the Entry Summary Status Notification chapter is compatible with current ACE Production.

Code Baseline is Now Available in ACE CERT Environment for Trade Testing

The code baseline in now available in the ACE CERT Environment for trade testing and will be deployed to ACE Production in October 2010.

ACE Entry Summary Create/Update Chapter to be Issued in Near Future

CBP states it will publish the revised ACE Entry Summary Create/Update Chapter when it announces the deployment date for the next ESAR release in October 2010.

Steps to Take by Trade if Programming Changes Not Ready

CBP apologizes for the short notice of the publication of these chapters and says that if the trade does not have the programming changes to the Entry Summary Query ready for the October 2010 deployment, they will need to use ACS ABI Entry Summary Query functionality until the programming changes are made. Specifics are available in the table of changes at the beginning of the chapter.

(CBP notes that these documents are considered final. However, the documents retain the "draft" designation in the footer until such time that an official Office of Public Affairs publication number has been assigned to the new ACE ABI CATAIR publication. Subsequent revisions to these documents will be controlled through the official CBP document amendment process.)

(See ITT’s Online Archives or 09/10/10 news, 10091005, for previous BP summary announcing the posting of these two chapters on CBP’s Web site.)
