Correction of Discrepancy with CAMIR Unified Manifest with ISF Transactions Delayed

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message regarding a delay in the correction of a CAMIR unified manifest with ISF transactions discrepancy. CBP has opted to delay implementation of the fix which would properly reject CAMIR unified manifest with Importer Security Filing (ISF) transactions when an inbond number is not provided for T&E or IE inbond movements. (CBP had previously announced that the discrepancy would be corrected on September 15, 2010.)

CBP states that the delay will last a minimum of 60 days to allow trade participants time to modify their programming to comply with the current requirements, which will be enforced upon full implementation of this fix. Another detailed CSMS message will be issued prior to full implementation of this fix. (See ITT’s Online Archives or 09/10/10 news, 10091050, for BP summary of CBP’s previous announcement of a fix for this discrepancy.)
