CBP Says FDA Message and Notice Delays Resolved
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message announcing that the Food and Drug Administration messaging issues announced in July 2010 have been resolved.

(In July 2010, FDA announced that it had been experiencing intermittent issues affecting ACS messaging and paper notice generation since July 19, 2010. This may have caused delays in the issuance of ACS messages and hard copy notices of FDA action. Contingency steps were taken to limit delays and ensure that reasonable time is given to filers and importers to receive these notifications.)
FDA to Respond in Normal Timeframes Starting Nov 15
The amount of time given for response to an FDA detention notice will return to ten days following the date of detention shown on the notice (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays). The change back to normal timeframes will take effect November 15, 2010.
