  • Long range vessel tracking. Transport Canada announces long-range vessel tracking measures will further improve safety and security at sea for both outgoing and incoming vessels. The regulations also allow Canada to better monitor foreign vessels up to 1,000 nautical miles off its coasts; the information transmitted at sea will help authorities take preventive action in case of a security threat.
  • Furniture sets. CBSA has issued guidance on the tariff classification of furniture sets.
  • Cheese TRQ. DFAIT has issued information on its policies and practices respecting the administration of the 20,411,866 kg tariff rate quota (TRQ) for cheeses of all types.
