Nearly Half of China's Rare Earth Exports Went to Japan in First 9 Mos

China's Ministry of Commerce has announced that China exported 16,000 tons of rare earth to Japan in the first nine months of the year, equivalent to 49.8% of its total rare earth exports. The figure was a 167% year-on-year rise.

Exports to the U.S. increased 5.5% year on year to 62 million tons during the same period, equivalent to 19% of China's total rare earth exports.
