2011 U.S.-Singapore FTA Agriculture TRQs Open January 3

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a memorandum on the 2011 tariff rate quotas for agricultural products described in HTS Chapter 99, Subchapter X, U.S. Notes 3 through 12, with respect to the U.S.-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (SFTA).

These TRQs will open on January 3, 2011 with the following in-quota (duty-free) quantity limits:

*CBP notes that peanuts in the shell shall be charged against the quota on the basis of 75 kg for each 100 kg of peanuts in the shell.

CBP adds that "SG" should be used as the primary SPI indicator.
