Oct 2010 CHB Exam Had 29% Pass Rate

U.S. Customs and Border Protection sources have announced that the pass rate for the October 2010 customs broker license exam was 29%.

CBP recently posted the October exam and answer key to its website. (See ITT’s Online Archives or 11/17/10 news, 10111614, for BP summary announcing that the exam and key were posted.)

Pass Rate Significantly Higher than April Exam

The 29% pass rate for the October 2010 is significantly higher than the pass rate from the April 2010 exam, which was 11.1%. Approximately 1,100 persons took the October exam, which is comparable to April 2010 when 1,200 persons took the exam.

Those that passed the exam are eligible to apply for a customs brokers license.

No "Problem" Questions

According to the answer key and sources, the October exam had no "problem" questions.

Result Letters Mailed Out November 18

Sources added that the letters informing those that sat for the exam of their results were mailed out on the morning of November 18, 2010.
