NY/NJ Port Authority Board Authorizes Updgrade to Road Network in Port

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Board of Commissioners has authorized a program to upgrade three of the major roads at the agency’s New Jersey marine terminals to increase cargo capacity and enhance safety.

The program includes the widening of McLester Street in the Elizabeth-Port Authority Marine Terminal, and the widening and realignment of Port Street and Brewster Road. The McLester Street program was authorized at $30 million, while the Port Street and Brewster Road program was authorized at $34.5 million.
