  • Armenia to accede to GPA. The WTO Committee on Government Procurement adopted a decision on December 7, 2010 that invites Armenia to accede to the Agreement on Government Procurement on the basis of a final coverage offer that was circulated to the Committee on November 8 together with Armenia’s draft Procurement Law.
  • Africa and Haiti trade development. The Government of Mali is hosting a three-day workshop December 8-10 for the poorest countries in the Central and West Africa region and Haiti, in partnership with UNDP and the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF), to promote global trade that works for poor communities in supporting local skills and entrepreneurship.
  • Electronic standards activities. International Electrotechnical Commission submitted a report to the WTO Committee on Technical Barriers to Trade about its activities in developing countries from June-October 2010. (The IEC prepares and publishes International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies.)
