  • Automated export declaration software. CBSA announced the December 6, 2010 release of the 2011 version of the Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED) software.
  • AD/CV carbon and alloy steel sheet and strip. The CITT gave notice that it will initiate an expiry review of its order concerning the dumping of flat hot-rolled carbon and alloy steel sheet and strip originating in or exported from Brazil, the People’s Republic of China, Chinese Taipei, India, South Africa and Ukraine, and the subsidizing of flat hot-rolled carbon and alloy steel sheet and strip originating in or exported from India.
  • EXCOL to transition to Access Key on Dec 12. DFAIT is replacing the current epass Canada service with a new service called Access Key. Export Controls On-Line (EXCOL), a web-based application for export permits, certificates, amendment requests, with functionality to submit online quarterly utilization reports for military goods, will make the transition to Access Key on December 12, 2010.
  • Free trade with EU. DFAIT reports that the Honourable Peter Van Loan, Minister of International Trade, has concluded a five-day trade mission to Turkey and Greece. The trade mission focused on expanding commercial relations and promoting free trade with the European Union.
  • Peace Bridge Plaza Gateway. The Honourable Rob Nicholson, P.C., Q.C., Member of Parliament for Niagara Falls, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, and Mr. Ken Schoetz, chairman of the board of the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority, celebrated the completion of the Peace Bridge Plaza improvements with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the newly constructed laneway.
