ITC Expects to Post Jan 1, 2011 HTS Next Week
Sources at the International Trade Commission expect that the 2011 Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the U.S., which is effective January 1, 2011, will be posted to the ITC web site on December 29, 2010.

January 1, 2011 HTS to Reflect Staged Duty Reductions, Proclamations Etc.
The January 1, 2011 edition of the HTS is expected to reflect (1) any staged duty reductions that are effective January 1, 2011 for free trade agreements, (2) Proclamation 8467 which removed GSP benefits for Croatia and Equatorial Guinea effective January 1, 2011 (as they are "high income" countries), (3) any Census Bureau changes in the Notice to Exporters, Schedule C (Classification of Country and Territory Designations for U.S. Import Statistics) and Schedule D (Customs District and Port Codes), (4) tariff changes at the statistical level (9th and 10th digits) approved by the 484(f) Committee for Statistical Annotation of Tariff, (5) corrections of typographical errors, (6) etc.
Print Version to Go to GPO Contractor for Printing and Distribution
The print version of the January 1, 2011 HTS will also be sent to the Government Printing Office contractor for printing and distribution to subscribers, which is expected to take several weeks.
