The Government of Canada issued the following additional notices from December 17-31, 2010 that were not previously included in International Trade Today:

  • Cigarette labeling. In 2011, the Government of Canada will propose new regulations to strengthen package labeling requirements for cigarettes and little cigars by proposing features designed to increase smokers' awareness of the health hazards associated with tobacco use and support smokers in their efforts to quit.
  • AD/CV: China metal bar grating. On December 20, 2010, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidizing regarding certain metal bar grating from China.
  • AD: steel structural tubing. CBSA initiated a re-investigation on December 20, 2010 to update the normal values and export prices regarding certain steel structural tubing from Korea, South Africa and Turkey.
  • Recalls.
