  • Malaysia lifts ban on EU beef. Malaysia has lifted its ban on imports of beef and beef products from the EU, implemented after unjustified claims of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). EU exporters can now apply to start approval procedures for abattoirs and beef processing plants to export to Malaysia.
  • Recalls. The European Commission has issued measures to prevent or restrict the marketing or use of 26 products in the EU, including certain clothing, electrical appliances, motor vehicles, cosmetics, toys, etc.
