2011 Schedule B and HTS Numbers Have Now Been Implemented in AES
According to a January 19, 2011 Census Automated Export System broadcast, effective immediately, the Schedule B and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) tables in AES have been updated to accept the changes to the 2011 codes.

Either 2010 or 2011 Numbers Will be Accepted for 30 Days
According to Census, AES will accept shipments with outdated 2010 codes during a grace period for 30 days beyond the expiration date of December 31, 2010. Reporting an outdated 2010 code after the 30 day grace period will result in a fatal error.
Instructions for AESDirect and AESPcLink
Census states that the AESDirect program has also been updated with the 2011 codes and will also accept shipments with outdated 2010 codes during the 30-day grace period.
All AESPcLink users must update their AESDirect code tables to reflect the 2011 changes in Schedule B and the HTS. Web users of AESDirect who file via the Web site at www.aesdirect.gov will have their code tables updated via the program automatically.
