  • Korea requests consultations on U.S. AD measures. Korea has requested consultations with the U.S. under the WTO dispute settlement system concerning anti-dumping measures on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from Korea.
  • Draft agenda for Feb 7 DSB meeting. The WTO Secretariat has circulated a draft agenda for the next meeting, on February 7, 2011, of the Dispute Settlement Body, which consists of all WTO members and oversees legal disputes among them. Under standard WTO practice, the draft agenda has to be approved and possibly amended at the start of the meeting.
  • Commodities trade and Doha. Director-General Pascal Lamy, in his inaugural address to the UNCTAD Global Commodities Forum in Geneva on January 31, 2011, said that “through the Doha Round, WTO Members have an opportunity to dismantle even more of the artificially-created barriers that hinder commodity trade”.
  • Aid for trade. Member states of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) gathered on January 25-27, 2011 in Barbados to assess how "Aid for Trade" can facilitate the development of the small vulnerable economies of CARICOM. The conference was sponsored by the CARICOM Secretariat, the WTO, and supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
