  • Geographical indications. The second of six key areas has been added to an emerging single draft negotiating text on a geographical indications register for wines and spirits, and was circulated to WTO intellectual property negotiators at an informal meeting of the full membership on January 27, 2011.
  • U.S.-China tire dispute. The U.S. and China have requested that the panel report in the dispute, "U.S. - Measures Affecting Imports of Certain Passenger Vehicle and Light Truck Tires from China" (DS399) be adopted by the Dispute Settlement Body by May 24, 2011 to provide greater flexibility in scheduling any possible appeal.
