- Montenegro's EU accession. The European Committee stated that it hopes accession talks with Montenegro could begin in 2011, however concerns remain over corruption, organized crime, discrimination, and media freedom. (here)
- Turkey's EU accession. MEPs stated that the undermining of press freedom in Turkey and Turkey's refusal to sign a protocol requiring it to open its airports and harbors to Greek Cypriots is slowing down its EU accession talks. (here)
