  • Fresh fruit and vegetable regulations. The Minister of Agriculture has annexed the Regulations Amending Certain Regulations Administered and Enforced by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency concerning requirements for certain fresh fruit and vegetables. (here).
  • Asbestos products regulations. The Minister of Health has annexed the Asbestos Products Regulations, including definitions and requirements for non-crocidolite asbestos products. (here).
  • Candle regulations. The Minister of Health has annexed the candle regulations, including a prohibition on spontaneous re-ignition. (here).
  • Children’s jewelry regulations. The Minister of Health has annexed the Children’s Jewelry Regulations, including definitions and requirements for good laboratory practices. (here).

  • Certain vehicle emission regulations. The Minister of the Environment has annexed the Marine Spark-Ignition Engine, Vessel and Off-road Recreational Vehicle Emission Regulations, including definitions, classes and models of vehicles, and standards. (here).
  • Tobacco and cigarette regulations. The Minister of National Revenue has annexed the Regulations Respecting Prescribed Brands of Manufactured Tobacco and Prescribed Cigarettes, including prescribed brands of manufactured tobacco and cigarettes. (here).
  • Stamping and marking of tobacco products. The Minister of National Revenue has annexed the Stamping and Marking of Tobacco Products Regulations (2011), including duties and excise stamps. (here).
  • Surface coating material regulations. The Minister of Health has annexed the Surface Coating Materials Regulations, including requirements for furniture and other articles for children, and pencils and artists’ brushes. (here).
  • Flammability for textiles. The Minister of Health has annexed the Textile Flammability Regulations, including the scope, excluded products, and minimum requirements for flammability. (here).
  • Toy Regulations. The Minister of Health has annexed the Toy Regulations, including packaging requirements, and regulations on electrical hazards and mechanical hazards. (here).
  • Certain toxic substances. The Minister of the Environment announced adding four toxic substances in Batch 3 to Schedule 1 to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (here).

  • Domestic Substances List amended. The Minister of the Environment announced amending the Domestic Substances List by adding clay reaction products with substituted alkylalkoxysilane. (here).
  • Domestic Substances List amended. The Minister of the Environment announced a number of additions to the Domestic Substances List. (here).
  • Sauce marinade. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and East-West Foods Distribution Inc. are warning people with allergies to hazelnuts not to consume the Evald Collection Sauce Marinade. The affected product contains hazelnut which is not declared on the label. (here).
  • Expanded health hazard alert. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Les Aliments JR expanded the earlier health hazard alert by warning the public not to consume additional food house brand products that were made in the Syrian Arab Republic because the products may be contaminated with Salmonella.
