Based on the evidence in a risk assessment, APHIS believes that fresh (chilled or frozen) ovine meat can safely be imported from Uruguay provided certain conditions are met, while continuing to protect against the introduction of foot-and-mouth disease. Comments are due by April 25, 2011.
