CPSC Announces Open Meetings with Industry Stakeholders

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has updated its list of meetings between CPSC and its stakeholders that are open to the public, unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotional products. Neal Cohen (Small Business Ombudsman) will meet with the Promotional Products Industry Association (PPAI) and Prime Resources, Inc. to discuss issues in the promotional products industry relating to age-grading certain promotional consumer products; 03/29/11.
  • Fireworks. Chairman Tenenbaum, Commissioners Adler and Nord, and CPSC staff will meet separately with the American Fireworks Standards Laboratory, (AFSL) to discuss certifying fireworks shipments by AFSL members, status report on pending fireworks ANPR, status report on pending technical issues, etc.; 03/24/11.
  • Pool and spa drain cover testing. CPSC will hold a public meeting to receive views from all interested parties about the testing methods used to establish the ratings of pool and spa drain covers; the potential impact that variations of these test methods might have on the rating of pool and spa drain covers; and associated public health considerations; 04/05/11.
