TSN Working to Include Related Functionality as Part of Cargo Release
According to the report, TSN members are interested in advocating, as a part of the ACE Cargo Release segment (which is on an accelerated development schedule), functionality in the following areas:
- Electronic Single Transaction Bonds (STB)
- Remote Location Filing (RLF)
- Paperless ITAR License and Exemption Processing (ITAR)
- Paperless Release of Warehouse Entries (Warehouse)
- Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ)
- ITDS PGA Cargo Release Functionality
The report states that a TSN Cargo Release project team has already prepared documents for STB, RLF, ITAR and Warehouse, while the FTZ process was still being discussed with the trade and CBP.
In addition, the e-Bond Subcommittee was working on a document that describes the electronic STB system that the TSN was asked to develop for ACE Cargo Release.
1The validation session was hosted by CBP’s Office of Trade.
(See ITT’s Online Archives or 03/08/11 news, 11030832, for BP summary stating that ACE was on an accelerated development schedule, including Cargo Release.)
