CBP recently posted the April exam and answer key to its website. At that time, CBP sources stated that the passing rates were not available as there was a delay in exam grades (one problem question called for the re-scoring of the exams).

(See ITT’s Online Archives or 04/28/11 news, 11042845, for BP summary announcing that the exam and key were posted.)

Pass Rate Lower than October Exam, But More People Took It

The 19% pass rate for the April 2011 exam is lower than the October 2010 exam, which had a pass rate of 29%. Approximately 1,500 persons took the exam in April, which is higher than in October 2010 when 1,100 persons took the exam.

Those that passed the exam are eligible to apply for a customs brokers license.

One "Problem" Question

According to the answer key and sources, the April exam had one "problem" question -- question #54. Two answers are considered correct for that question (D and E).

Result Letters Mailed Out Last Week

Sources added that the letters informing those that sat for the exam of their results were mailed out last week.
