APHIS Updates Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) Manuals
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has updated the following PPQ electronic manuals as of August 5, 2011 (since August 3):

- Treatment Manual - revises the asparagus schedule, T101-b-1, to reflect a lower dosage (4 lb) and a higher treatment duration (2.5 hours). The lower dosage will negate Section 18 --PPQ will no longer need to monitor aeration. The change is on page 5-2-4 in Chapter 5-2 T100 Schedules for Fruits, Nut, and Vegetables. 08/05/11 (here)
- Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual - Table 3-149 (Screenings that have been pelletized) is changed, as well as Appendix B (CFIA Export Certificate and Approved Facilities), which is a new appendix. In addition, the links contained throughout the manual and internal and the external cross-references have all been updated. (08/05/11)
- Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual - New Table 3-111 for mushroom, mushroom spawn, mushroom spores; South Sudan is now separately mentioned from Sudan in all applicable tables. In addition, the links contained throughout the manual and internal and the external cross-references have all been updated. (08/03/11)
